A Pocket PC Program

When You Have To Make An Important Call-Back  Has This Ever Happened To You? . . . . . .
YOU FORGOT

Here’s The Scenario: You have to make a number of phone calls for a project.  Maybe it’s cold calls or just a series of business calls.

Does this sound familiar?. . . .”Is Charlie in?”   “He’s on the phone right now would you like to leave a message?”  “No, I’ll call back in 10 minutes.”  Somehow you space it off, get side-tracked on something else, forget to look at your notes, whatever the reason, before you know it, you forgot until the next day it hits you. You were supposed to call back Charlie and that opportunity is lost or detoured until you can get a hold of Charlie again.

Or this,  “Is John in?”  “He’s out to lunch he’ll be back in about two hours.”  “Ok, I’ll call back.”  But do you remember?  And On time?  Did a big deal hinge on that phone call?  Was it time sensitive?  On and on it goes. .

He’s in a meeting.
She’s out of town until tomorrow.
He’s out sick today.

How do you handle call backs?  Write them down?  Store it in your super memory?  Put it in your Contact program which requires a great deal of inputting on your part. No matter what they say plain old paper works faster and better but it has a problem.  It can’t tap you on the shoulder and say, “Hey, make this call.”  And that is exactly what Total Re-Call does but it does it Quick & Easy.

How Total Re-Call was Born

I finally had it up to here with forgetting my important calls.  I had lost major deals because I forgot the call back and the person left town or already make a deal with some else who did call back. After hitting my forehead with the Palm of my hand one day I said, “This is crazy there has got to be a better way.”

I looked around at all the Pocket PC programs and found nothing out there that fit the bill.  So  I bought some development software and developed Total Re-Call for my Pocket PC for my own personal use.  It worked so well that when I showed it to friends of mine they asked if they could get a copy.  They loved it too.  Because it’s so easy to use.  Very little input.  Every record has an alarm attached to it.  When it’s time for my Re-Call it pops up and it looks like this on my Pocket PC screen,  “Call John at 555-3689 REASON: He was at lunch”

That’s all I need to know.  Now, I call John AT THE RIGHT TIME and ask him when he’s going to take me to lunch.  When Bob says, “call me back in 10.”  I don’t forget now and call him back two hours later to find out he’s left for the day.

Total Re-Call also has a scribble area.  An area where you can quickly handwrite a note to yourself.  “Tell him about the profit margins.”  “Setup meeting for next week.”  “He’s got the money.”   Between you and me, the less I have to use the micro keyboard on the Pocket PC  the better.
